The Da Vinci Code

Am I the only one who remembers the way Ron Howard butchered the Sylvia Nassar book on John Nash? Putting Ron Howard in charge of such an explosive book (though, really, who hasn't questioned the Church's stranglehold on history at one point or another?) is like putting Gale Norton in charge of the environment. I'm surprised Bush didn't appoint Ron Howard to direct this movie (yes, I realize that's not how it works).

I'm glad the book has gotten people to ask questions, but I just wonder why it took so long and such a shittily written pulp novel to pull this off.

Or is the charm its shitty prose? If so, I should go back and reread it in a new light.

I hate this keyboard.

I thought I was the only one who wasn't impressed with the writing. Thanks Michelle!

You think the Da Vinci Code isn't contentious? 50 posts says otherwise.
